Initiatives
JIMMY HAUBURGER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to one (or more) graduating senior(s) beginning with the Class of 2016. Our team is working out the details of the scholarship criteria and how to nominate a student. More to follow.
ANTI-CYBERBULLYING LEGISLATION
Our team is working with Rockland County Elected Officials to help unveil legislation to modernize New York State’s harassment laws and crack down on cyber bullying. Our hope is to make cyberbullying a second-degree aggravated harassment misdemeanor and a third-degree stalking misdemeanor. By including cyber bullying into these two sections of the penal code, cyber bullying would also be eligible offenses under the New York State Hate Crimes Act for the first time.
BUILDING A BRIDGE TO BETTER BEHAVIOR
Bridg-it School (@bridgitschool) is the first anti-bullying school safety solution that addresses the full lifecycle of an incident, from reporting through resolution. Our team is currently working with this company and local school districts to implement this program for students.
